In honor of World Emoji Day on July 17 (yes, that’s a thing), GE, the world’s premier digital industrial company, launched a Facebook Messenger bot to test emoji skills in the first Emoji Science Decoding Challenge. Created by Massively, the bot is named Dot (an homage to Thomas Edison’s nickname for his daughter Marion), and quizes users with emoji codes representing science facts or various moments in science history. Users can share their results and challenge friends to take the quiz on Facebook.
