As the Internet, already mobile, becomes conversational, franceinfo, the French TV news channel available on all media and on many social networks, extends its offer and is now available as a bot, with a new conversational, news centric interface embedded in Facebook Messenger. Users will be able to receive headline news, among other available topics, at the time of their choice, and to discuss with franceinfo directly from their messaging application. They will receive, on their own terms, the latest news headlines or personalized alerts. Custom Alerts No need for an app or the web: interfaces are more and more natural and simplified. After starting the conversation on Messenger, the franceinfo bot, updated constantly, allow users to choose among several types of alerts: Be notified of breaking newsRegularly receive headline newsSubscribe to a selection of articles by the franceinfo editorial staff and bloggers on a particular topicBe notified of the latest national or regional news and the latest TV and radio programs to watch or listen to. The bot is very simple: users set the frequency and timing of their alerts, receive them directly, or at a specific time (8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm or midnight), wherever they are. Users can also, conversely, choose subjects that they wish to ignore. For each alert received users can read the associated article, watch photos or videos, or listen to the associated podcast without ever leaving Messenger.
